Applicants must have retired from a position equivalent to Assistant Section Officer in any Ministry/Department or its attached/subordinate offices of the Central Government. Proficiency in Service Rules, Regulations, Noting & Drafting is essential, along with a working understanding of computer applications needed for day-to-day office operations.
Age Limit for UPSC ASO Level Consultant Jobs 2023

Selection Process for UPSC ASO Level Consultant
The appointment will be exclusively on a contractual basis. Applications received in response to this will be shortlisted based on the applicants’ experience and qualifications. The selection of consultants will be made from the pool of shortlisted candidates.
Salary Details for UPSC ASO Level Consultant
- A fixed monthly amount will be granted, calculated by subtracting the basic pension from the pay received at the retirement date.
- Alternatively, for Central Government retirees under NPS, 30% of the last basic pay drawn at retirement will be deducted from the same pay to determine the fixed monthly remuneration.
- The established remuneration remains constant throughout the contract term, with no annual increments or percentage increases. No Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), or residential accommodation benefits will be provided.
