It is important to note the eligibility criteria as specified by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) through the recruitment notification. To qualify for application to the Assistant Lineman, candidates must possess the essential qualifications –
| Educational Qualifications | i) Matriculation or equivalent and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade. ii) The candidates who possess higher education i.e., Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be considered only if they have minimum qualifications i.e., National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade. |

PSPCL Assistant Lineman Recruitment 2023 Selection Process
Candidates are required to take a computer-based online test comprising two parts. The first part assesses proficiency in the Punjabi language (a prerequisite for advancing to the next stage). Part II of the online exam is bilingual (English/Punjabi), except for Punjabi language questions, which are exclusively in Punjabi. Therefore, candidates have the flexibility to select their preferred language (English/Punjabi) for the examination. The Part II question paper consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
PSPCL Assistant Lineman Recruitment 2023 Salary
After the selection process, Assistant Lineman job candidates will undergo a 3 Year probation. During the probation period, specified in the job offer or any extended time, they’ll receive only basic pay—no additional benefits like grade pay, dearness allowance, or increments. Exceptions include travel allowance and medical reimbursement, if applicable. The minimum admissible pay, as per the 7th CPC/Pay Matrix and in-house Committee report, is Rs.19900/- per month.
